Thresh wants to threaten a hook the moment Lulu or her ADC steps up for CS.
- Throw Death Sentence (Q) when you have a clear read on Lulu's position — landing it early can snowball the whole lane.
- Respect Lulu's Whimsy (E) — it slows your hook wind-up and gives her ADC a speed boost to disengage.
Levels 3-5
Lulu's peel comes online fast — your all-ins need to account for Whimsy and Help, Pix!.
- Flay (E) to knock Lulu or her ADC toward your team before going for a hook, rather than hooking into a bad position.
- If Lulu polymorphs your ADC mid-engage, disengage rather than forcing the fight — Whimsy neutralizes most follow-up.
Level 6
Both ultimates are about protecting or removing a target from the fight.
- Death Sentence into Death Leap lets you engage from a distance — use it to remove Lulu before she can protect her ADC.
- Lulu's Wild Growth can make her ADC briefly unkillable — bait it out on a fake engage before your real all-in.
Levels 7-11
Roaming value matters more than lane kills from here.
- Use Flay and lantern (Dark Passage) to set up picks around river and dragon, not just in lane.
- Lulu is a strong peel-and-poke support in skirmishes — expect her to protect her ADC rather than engage back.
Levels 12-15
Utility items complete and both supports become full engage/peel tools.
- Your lantern can save a diving teammate or bait a bad follow-up — use it proactively in skirmishes.
- Lulu can turn a losing fight around with a well-timed polymorph on your primary damage dealer — expect it and play around it.
Level 16+
Fights are decided by who lands their key spell first.
- Look to hook or flay Lulu specifically before she can protect her carries — removing her changes the whole fight.
- If Lulu ults your primary target, disengage that dive rather than forcing it — Wild Growth buys enough time to turn a fight.
